How to use this wiki #

The CUBIC Wiki is a shared knowledge base designed to provide guidance, procedures and resources for all CUBIC users. We encourage everyone to help keep the information accurate and up to date.

Please use the appropriate page when contributing to the community:

Unless otherwise stated, the information in this wiki is intended for all CUBIC users. Information specific to partner institutions should be added to the relevant CUBIC Partner Pages.

How to update the CUBIC Wiki #

Updating the wiki is simple and helps keep the information accurate for everyone.

Before you begin #

To edit pages you must:

  • Be logged in using your RHUL account.
  • Have been granted editing permissions.

If you cannot see an Edit Docs option or cannot edit a page, please contact the Wiki administrator.

Editing a page #

  1. Log in to the wiki.
  2. Navigate to the page you wish to edit.
  3. Click Edit Docs from the toolbar at the top of the page.
  4. Make your changes using the WordPress editor.
  5. You can add or edit:
    • Text
    • Headings
    • Bullet lists
    • Links
    • Images
    • Tables
    • PDF, Word and PowerPoint documents
  6. When you are happy with your changes, click Save to publish them.

If you decide not to keep your changes, simply leave the page without saving.

Good editing practice #

Please help us keep the wiki organised and useful by following these guidelines:

  • Check whether the information already exists before creating duplicate content.
  • Update existing pages where appropriate rather than creating similar content elsewhere.
  • Ensure that any information you add is accurate, clear and up to date.
  • Keep formatting consistent with the rest of the wiki.
  • Use meaningful headings and descriptive link text.
  • Upload documents using the appropriate file type (PDF, Word or PowerPoint) and include a short description where helpful.
  • Be courteous and respectful when editing shared content.

Please do not #

To maintain a consistent structure across the wiki, please avoid:

  • Renaming major sections or categories.
  • Changing the overall navigation or page hierarchy.
  • Deleting pages without approval.
  • Removing information that may still be useful without checking first.

If information is outdated, update it where possible or contact the Wiki administrator.

Suggestions and new content #

We welcome suggestions for improving the CUBIC Wiki.

If you would like to:

  • add a new page,
  • create a new section,
  • reorganise existing content,
  • report an error, or
  • suggest improvements,
